Store Use and Eligibility

The website is intended for lawful shopping and information purposes. Users must provide accurate information, must not interfere with security or operation, and must not use the site for fraud, unlawful resale schemes, infringement, malicious code, scraping that burdens the service or any activity prohibited by law. A person placing an order confirms that they have legal capacity to contract or act with appropriate authorisation.

Product Information

We aim to describe products accurately. Images are illustrative, and actual colour may vary because of screens, lighting and natural material differences. Dimensions may be approximate within normal manufacturing tolerances. Natural grain, knots, texture, veining and handcrafted variation are not necessarily defects. Customers must review dimensions, materials, assembly requirements, care instructions, doorway clearance and intended use before ordering.

Prices, Taxes and Payment

Prices displayed at checkout are the prices applicable to the order, subject to correction of obvious errors before acceptance. Prices for consumers are presented in accordance with applicable tax-display requirements. Available payment methods are shown at checkout and may be provided by third parties. Payment authorisation does not by itself guarantee acceptance of an order.

Order Process and Contract Formation

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt but does not necessarily constitute acceptance. The contract is formed when we expressly accept the order or dispatch the goods, depending on the wording of the confirmation sent to the customer. We may reject or cancel an order before acceptance for unavailability, payment failure, suspected fraud, obvious pricing error, delivery restrictions or legal reasons. If payment has already been collected for a cancelled order, it will be refunded.

Availability and Substitutions

All products are subject to availability. We do not substitute a materially different item without consent. If part of an order is unavailable, we may offer a revised delivery, alternative, partial shipment or cancellation. The customer may reject a proposed substitute. Any refund due will be made in accordance with applicable law and the payment method used.

Delivery

All orders receive free standard delivery. The usual estimated delivery period is 15–20 calendar days after dispatch. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline, unless a binding date has been expressly agreed. Delivery terms, risk transfer, delays, split shipments, access requirements and failed delivery are further addressed in the Shipping and Delivery Policy. Statutory remedies for late or failed performance remain unaffected.

Furniture Access, Assembly and Installation

Customers are responsible for checking that an item can pass through doors, lifts, stairways and corridors and fit safely in the intended location. Unless expressly included, delivery does not include assembly, installation, wall mounting, electrical connection, packaging removal or disposal of old goods. Customers should follow all instructions, use appropriate fixings and obtain qualified assistance for electrical or structural work.

Ownership and Risk

Risk in goods passes in accordance with applicable consumer law, generally when the consumer or a designated third party other than the carrier takes physical possession. Ownership may remain with the seller until full payment has been received, to the extent permitted by law.

Withdrawal, Returns and Statutory Conformity Rights

Eligible consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts, subject to legal exceptions, and katyfurniture.shop also offers a voluntary 30-day return policy. Details appear in the Return and Refund Policy. Goods must conform to the contract. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights to remedies such as repair, replacement, price reduction, termination or damages where the legal conditions are met.

Promotions and Discount Codes

Promotions may have stated eligibility, duration, stock and redemption limits. Unless expressly stated, codes cannot be combined, exchanged for cash or applied retrospectively. We may refuse a promotion used contrary to its published terms, but will not withdraw a benefit after a binding contract has formed unless legally justified.

Reviews and User Content

If users submit reviews, photographs or other content, they confirm they have the right to do so and that the content is lawful, accurate to their genuine experience and does not violate another person’s rights. The user grants us a non-exclusive licence to display and use submitted content for operating and promoting the store, subject to privacy law. We may moderate content for legality, relevance, abuse or authenticity.

Intellectual Property

The website, branding, text, graphics, layout and other content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws and may not be copied, exploited or redistributed without permission except as allowed by law. Product names and third-party marks remain the property of their owners. No licence is granted beyond the limited right to access and use the store for personal, lawful purposes.

Third-Party Services

The store may use or link to third-party payment, delivery, mapping, social media or other services. Those services may have separate terms. We are responsible for our own obligations and cannot control independent third-party content or systems, but we do not exclude liability that applicable law attributes to us for contractors used to perform the contract.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, mandatory product liability or breach of essential contractual obligations to the extent protected by law. Any permissible limitation must be interpreted consistently with German consumer law and does not remove statutory remedies.

Governing Law and Disputes

German law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, without depriving a consumer habitually resident in another country of mandatory protections that cannot be excluded by agreement. Any mandatory information concerning consumer dispute resolution must be supplied by the actual operator based on its circumstances.

Changes, Severability and Contact

We may update these Terms for future use where reasonably necessary due to legal, technical or operational changes. The version in force when an order is formed governs that order unless a change is required by law or agreed by the parties.
